Ubuntu update

I just was trying to update my Ubuntu linux installation from Feisty Fawn 7.04 to Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 and I got an error telling me that the "Medibuntu" ropo could not be found a 404 error I guess. Medibuntu is the ropo that has all the cool drivers that let mp3's and DVD's play along with other media while using linux and they are not open source. Anyway rather then get upset and search the net all night to find an answer I thought I would just download and install the new "Gutsy Gibbon" Ubuntu linux distro. That way I can have a nice "fresh" OS install on my linux partition and then in 6 months or so the new linux will be out and I can see whats up and upgrade or reinstall it. I was looking forward to just doing an upgrade because I have my linux system running "just right" and am happy with it but I have heard on the forums that some people have problems with the "upgrade" thing still I like tweaking my computer to get it "just rite" so yeah I will just do a reinstall. Damn things like this cause me to just go round and round in my head as to what I should do, I guess it depends on whether I want to mess with it or not and at the moment I don't want to mess with it. So tomorrow I will make sure all is a go and everything is ready and do me a clean install of "Gutsy Gibbon". I do have a seperate "home" partition so it should be easy enough, knock on wood how many times have I said that and screwed up my box. So thats it clean install of Gutsy, and I will play with the "update" feature when I get my other box's up and running on my little home network so then I wont screw up my working computer like I always do.

Sounds like a plan!
